Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The Buddy Bento's food-grade 304 stainless steel body is microwave-safe — just detach the lid before microwaving. The lid, inner seal, and removable divider are BPA-free PP plastic and should stay off during reheating.
The Buddy Bento is fully dishwasher safe. The Buddy Thermal Jar is handwash recommended — this protects its vacuum insulation seal and keeps it working properly over time. For both, avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the finish.
Yes — the double-wall vacuum insulation keeps meals warm for up to 6 hours and cold for up to 12, so lunch is still comforting by midday, even packed hours in advance.
The Buddy Bento is leak-resistant with a removable divider and sealed lid, great for gravies and saucy dishes — though we don't recommend it for storing soup or very watery liquids. For soups, the Buddy Thermal Jar's leak-proof design is the better fit.
It's built for little hands — the Thermal Jar's wide opening supports self-feeding or easy spoon-feeding, and the Bento's flip-top lid with single snap clasp means no wrestling with multi-lock lids. Ideal from first day of daycare through the primary school years.
