Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (about ~180-200g)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Garlic Herb Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and chopped thyme. Mix well to form a smooth, fragrant herb butter.
  2. Season the Salmon:
    • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, and then spread the garlic herb butter evenly.
  3. Air fry the salmon:
    • Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. (The internal temperature should reach 145°F / 63°C.)
  4. Finish with lemon juice and zest:
    • Once the salmon is cooked, carefully remove it from the air fryer. Drizzle the fillets with lemon juice and dress with the lemon zest.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh lemon slices, extra parsley, and serve with your favourite sides for a quick meal.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavour, let the salmon sit at room temperature with the herb butter for 10 minutes before steaming.
  • To make this recipe even easier, you can prep the garlic herb butter in advance and store it in the fridge until ready to use.
